Jetta Wagon Rear Fog

I had purchased my rear fog light from "SeNNa1" a while back, then did the LED mod using a yellow LED (Radio Shack part #276-351). The problem I was going to run into is that the Jetta wagon has tail lights that are not set up for rear fog lights like the Jetta sedan or Golf does. Some minor mod work is required......
Please note that your car may vary from my car, so some things will be a little different,

Remove both tail light units. Each is held in place by 3 studs with 8mm nuts on them. The right side (passenger) is really pretty simple to do, but the left side is a PITA since the foam block the CD changer fits into gets in your way big time. But it can be done. Here is the left one with the bulb holder unplugged. There are 4 bulbs in the holder and 4 holes in the back of the tail light lens asm.
Holding the lens up to a light, you can see the ligth shining though the top 2 holes. The top is the brake/tail, then next one down is the tail. Below that is a where there isn't a hole for a bulb. Bottom has reverse light and turn signal light in stock form.
Using a dremel tool with a cutting bit or rotary saw bit to make a hole in the 3rd position of each tail light lens. This is where the turn signal bulb will be going. Clean out all of the plastic bits that gets into the lens asm.
Holding up to the light again, you can now see light shining though the 3rd hole that will be your turn signals.
Here is the end results, I turned on the hazard lights so you can see the new "turn signals". The rear fog really stands out.

You also have to change the wiring a little bit, but it is really simple. Each tail light harness has 6 terminal positions. On the driver's side, the turn signal is in position #1, swap it over to position #5 which is blank. Then take the lead for the rear fog light and plug it into position #1. Move the turn signal bulb into it's new place of the bulb holder and put a P21W bulb into old turn signal position. On the passenger side, swap wire in position #6 over to #5 and relocate the turn signal bulb. Bolt tail lights in and you're done.

Why should you send a postcard? Because it is cheap to do and as we all know, the US Post Office is funding it's Super Muntant Army Project with fees from postcards stamps. I would really like to see a Super Muntant Army deliever my mail in the near future.
Thank you.
