Whirlwind, obtaining and setting up… 12 hour round trip for this. All so I could answer “yes” to one of the first 2 questions EVERY Earthshaker owner gets asked. While in good working order, this pin is in need of some work. Lots of trash/junk in the cabinet. Very dust in there as too, as pins tend to be. Not a fan of the hole in the base at the right rear… will have to see if I can come up with a nice fix. Cleaned out the trash, then used a shop vac and compressed air to dedust it. Used compressed air on the bottom side of the playfield as well to knock dust off it is. Top side of playfield was pretty clean. Inside of the back box looks OK for the most part, not too dirty, matter of fact the main board and sound board look like they may of been service/cleaned. This… this is hack work. Less than $10 worth of parts are needed to fix that. The previous owner had paid to have work done on his pins… so I don’t see the previous owner doing this, and with the main board and sound board looking as good as they do, I’m kind of wondering if this was todd wurk was done prior to his purchase. I’m hoping the interconnect board will be good when new header pins are installed. The cabinet has some rough spots on it, but some bondo and new decal kit will sort that out. It is up and running, a good playing game. I had to only tweak the switch for the spinner on the right side. It came with new plastics. I’ll start ordering bits and pieces for it… get a premium LED kit from Coin Taker, decal kit for cabinet, new headers and terminals for the boards in the back box, gut clean/paint, ect… it should be better than new when I get to it. But for now, the wife and I will enjoy playing it.
